Remote Work Hurts Too

Strangely, for bullied targets, working remotely may not be an improvement in their work conditions. I wrote up five specific reasons a target's work experience may worsen in my LinkedIn article, "Top 5 Risks for Workplace Bullying Complaints During COVID-19."

Those five risks are:

  1. Remote Work Exclusion and Ostracism

  2. Virus Sick Leave Harassment

  3. Increased Management-Induced Stress

  4. Distance-Induced Lack of Communication

  5. Lack of Compliance = Hostile Work Environment

Bottom line is that bullies don't stop their behavior simply because they are not face-to-face with their targets.
