Remote Work Hurts Too
Strangely, for bullied targets, working remotely may not be an improvement in their work conditions. I wrote up five specific reasons a target's work experience may worsen in my LinkedIn article, "Top 5 Risks for Workplace Bullying Complaints During COVID-19."
Those five risks are:
Remote Work Exclusion and Ostracism
Virus Sick Leave Harassment
Increased Management-Induced Stress
Distance-Induced Lack of Communication
Lack of Compliance = Hostile Work Environment
Bottom line is that bullies don't stop their behavior simply because they are not face-to-face with their targets.
