Harassers and Bullies Hide Behind Veil of Remote Work
The blurring of work and home throughout COVID-19 has given harassers new tools especially since fewer people are around to see it.
Add to that the reluctance of employers to apply workplace rules to remote workplaces.
Google writes, "...is not in a position to enter into a crackdown on the personal activities of employees.”
But employment attorneys advise that workplace bullying and harassment hasn't stopped, just moved online.
Employers need to be aware that blurred lines between home and work are creating conditions ripe for increased complaints and claims.
